XI - WHAT MAKES SOMEONE A HERO?

Superman? Batman? Spiderman? Iron Man? Thor? Is this the people who we called a hero? Or maybe they are not the only one who we can call a hero. 

Well, what does the really meaning of being a hero? Hero is someone who's not afraid to step and correct what is wrong. A hero who will fight for what is right regardless of the situation. A hero will not even think of the consequences. All he or she knows is to help and fight for the others. A hero contains a lot of positive perspectives.

Anyone can be a hero. But being a hero is the someone who deserve for call him or her a hero. Because as we all know we consider being our National Hero is Jose Rizal for his a lot of contributions he have done for our country. He fight for so long to defend our country from the Spaniards who wants to steal our own country. Jose Rizal fights for the absurdity of the Spaniards. The Spaniards who call us Filipino a "mangmang". 

We, Filipinos can also be a hero. For a simple good deeds we can be a hero. For saving a cat or dog who's almost crash by an approaching car. For guiding the elders to cross by the passenger street. For helping others who are in need. 

Mostly we look to our parents as our hero. Because they never failed to guide us whenever we go. They never let us to hurt by someone. They teach us to learn how to stand up for our own when we tripped. Because they want us to be strong and confident. They never failed to let us feel how they really love us. Ever since when we're still in our mother's womb, they always look after us. They want to us to grow healthy, strong, smart, and kind.

I call my parents for being a hero because I know they always work hard for us. Mostly for me who's still studying in college. And my younger sister who's still a baby. They want us to give a good life and a good education. I see how they work so hard to give all what we need. Although they are so tired from work, they never let us feel that we are dead weight even though we are so hard headed.

Everyone of us has their own freedom. A freedom to act. A freedom to speak. Because all of us has their freedom. And we should use it for the right way.
